We've moved! After a year of searching, we've finally found a new home in Winnipeg's historic Exchange District.

Lots of new projects in the works for the new year, with some great new clients!

Production wraps on "Manitoba Arts Council - It's What's Inside," a 16 minute documentary about the history of the Manitoba Arts Council, and the impact of the arts on Manitoba's cultural and economic landscape.

Centrallia 2010 is officially launched – Centric produced 3 videos in English, French, and Spanish with our friends at mf.1 [advertising | branding | strategy], that will be used around the world to promote the event. Centrallia aims to bring 500 businesses to Winnipeg as part of Homecoming 2010.

Centric Productions turns 5 years old! Hard to believe it’s been 5 years, time flies! Thanks to all the great clients and crew we’ve worked with – we couldn’t have grown without you! Looking forward to another 5 great years. Centric wraps production on 2 30 second TV spots for the Manitoba Securities Commission, and BCG Communications. The commercials are airing throughout the month of October.

August 2009

Centric wraps production on a new bilingual promotional video for Manitoba Hydro’s Power Smart New Home Program. The video will be shown during the Parade of Homes throughout Winnipeg, as well as on the Manitoba Hydro website. www.newhomeprogram.ca

Summer 2009

It’s been an extremely busy summer around here. We spent most of July working on a 3 videos, in 3 languages for Centrallia 2010, a global business-to-business forum happening in Winnipeg in 2010. The videos feature a combination of motion graphics, and live-action video that was shot all over the province.

May 2009

"Lake Winnipeg - a Blooming Crisis" was officially selected to screen at the 15th Annual Twin Rivers Media Festival in Asheville North Carolina, and it also took home 3rd place in the Documentary category. Produced and directed by Michael Linton and written by E. Anne Dawson the film has aired on CTV Television numerous times since it's premiere in 2007, and has screened at the Gimli Film Festival and in dozens of classrooms and provincial departments across Manitoba. In 2008 the film won a Telly Award for 'outstanding achievement' in the documentary category. Check out a clip in our portfolio.

April 2009

Centric Productions receives a Platinum Remi Award at the 42nd Annual Houston Film Festival for the short film "Night Travellers." Produced by Centric Productions and directed by Shelagh Carter, the film is based on the short story by Sandra Birdsell. The film was also officially selected to screen at the New Port Beach Film Festival this month, and premiered at the World Wide Short Film Festival in Toronto last year. The film is also airing on CBC Television June 14th as part of program "Canadian Reflections."

This is really BIG.

With the ever increasing number of methods to deliver video and commercial content these days (your website, DVD, mobile, YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo) Canwest Global has just added one of the largest digital televisions in Western Canada. Located in the outdoor Plaza at Canwest Place at the corner of Portage and Fort Street, this massive 35 foot wide ‘big screen TV’ is one of the highest resolutions LED displays west of Toronto and has over 450,000 people a week passing by! It’s an impressive (and did we mention BIG) way to deliver a message to your customers!

Centric Productions can create a custom commercial for this massive display, or we can take your existing commercial and prep it for delivery. Currently, programming loops every six minutes so your ad will play over 200 times in a 24 hour period (that’s 1400 times a week!). Centric is a proud sponsor of the 2009 CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival. Centric is producing a series of TV commercials and videos to help promote the 8th annual event. Check out the official website, at www.winnipegcomedyfestival.com. The WCF is an annual fund raising event for the Gas Station Theatre and the second largest comedy festival in Canada. November 2008

Centric Productions sponsors the 2008 Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. Centric produced a series of 12 videos on DVD to showcase each of the 2008 inductees at the annual induction dinner. Congratulations to all the athletes who were inducted this year. We look forward to working with the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame next year!

Centric Productions turns four years old this month! It's been an amazing four years - business has doubled again over the same period last year, and we're developing bigger projects all the time. Thanks to all the clients who put their faith in us from the start, and keep coming back year after year. Thanks to all new clients over the last few months who have been keeping us busier than ever... we look forward to working with you all again in the very near future!

Summer 2008

It's been a very busy summer around here! We've been all over the province shooting new high definition (HD) stock footage for Travel Manitoba. Production continues into September...

We've been developing two videos for Deer Lodge Centre's Operational Stress Injury Clinic to help members of the Canadian Forces and RCMP deal with stress related to their jobs.

Production has started on a new promotional video for the City of Winkler. The video will showcase employment and lifestyle opportunities in the area, shooting continues into the winter. The video will be released on the City of Winkler website, as well as on DVD.

Work continues on the 40th anniversary video project for Manitoba Arts Council, which will begin shooting on September.

mf.1 [advertising | branding | strategy] and Centre de Santé at the St. Boniface hospital kept us busy in July developing a new promotional video for the clinic. Look for it on their website in the near future.

Work continues on a series of videos for Canadian Lutheran World Relief. CLWR works in various countries around the world providing disaster relief, education programs, and sells a variety of fair-trade goods to help people in developing countries. For more information, visit www.clwr.org.
